Thanks to everyone who came to see us at the March/April shows and Snowbombing festivals. We had loads of fun and was a good send off for Daley. Hope you liked the new tunes too...

We'll be mainly finishing off writing the new album over summer but will still be playing out and about. The first few festivals I can tell you about are;

Ch Ch Ch Changes

I am sad and happy to announce that I am leaving The Sunshine Underground. Sad because I’m leaving behind some of the best friends I’ve ever had, but also happy because I can now set off on a completely new adventure.

There have been no fall-outs or bust ups, no artistic differences or any bad blood what so ever. I just feel, for me, it is just time for something new. This was not an easy decision to make and I didn’t take it lightly. I toiled for a long time over this and in the end the conclusion was clear.

Ever since our humble beginnings we have achieved a huge amount. Highlights have been releasing two great albums and an E.P, Japan, SxSW, Mexico, Glastonbury, and too many more to mention them all here.

We have been blessed with some of the most loyal and brilliant fans a band could ever wish for. I’d like to thank each and every one of you, for turning up, tuning in and not dropping out. Thanks again you mental bastards.

Looking forward, I will play my last gigs with the band in April, my last waltz will be Snowbombing. I wish the other three lads the best of luck for the future, and I know they will continue to make me proud by producing some more amazing music.

So, for now it is goodbye.

The Goose is getting fat...........

We are starting the christmas celebrations early by playing our final show of the year on the 23/12/10 at Black Flag Venue in Wakefield.

We are being suppported by The Stella Frays and The Ridings.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout 2010. It's been a really satisfying year to be a part of The Sunshine Underground. We've had a new album, new tours, sold out Leeds Academy, Leeds and Reading festival, Mexico, lots of new friends, hung out with some old friends and we even fought an evil robot in space (we won).

Our hearts and minds are now firmly set on the future. We're set on getting some new material out to you as soon as we can, this time, I promise, no 4 year gap. The material we already have is sounding ace, and I'm certain to my very core it will quench the thirsts of even the oldest fans whilst winning over some fresh blood.

So if we don't catch you on the 23rd, merry christmas, stay safe and don't let the swine grind you down.
